“The Struggle” By L.J. Smith Review

This is the terrifying story of two vampire brothers and the beautiful girl torn between them: Damon: determined to make Elena his queen of darkness, he’d kill his own brother to possess her.Stefan: desperate for the power to destroy Damon, he succumbs to his thirst for human blood.Elena: irresistibly drawn to both brothers, her choice will decide their fate.

This one is the second book in the “Vampire Diaries” series. I gotta be honest here and say that as this series continues the more different it becomes from the tv series. But I don’t mind that because somehow I like the book series better but I still picture every character as the actor who played the character in the tv show.

This book has a little bit more vampire content than the first book in this book series. Which really gets more and more interesting and I find myself enjoying it. And this book picks up exactly where the first book ended which I always love it when it happens.

The characters in this book gets more development and you can see them changing in a way as different things are happening to them and in the town. Which really makes me love this book more and the whole series.

The writing style is the same as in the first book. It is easy and simple and it still a good fit with the plot.

The plot here is very YA style but I found myself enjoying it much more than I’ve expected.  The plot in this book doesn’t take a lot of brain power just as in the first book in this series. However the word “Vampire” wasn’t even once said in this book nor in the first one. Maybe in the third book it will happen.

The ending here is spicy. Because it leaves us at a cliff-hanger there. But to be honest it keeps me wanting to keep reading this series just to find out how the series will end.

I Give This Book 4 / 5
