What Is The Saver’s Credit?

The “saver’s credit” is a short cut for something called “The retirement savings contribution credit”. 

And it basically a tax credit worth up to $1,000 if you are not married and $2,000 if you are married and filing jointly. It is mostly for  mid-income and low-income taxpayers who contribute to a retirement account.
