“Jabberwocky” By Lewis Carroll Review

The poem follows a young boy who is warned to beware a creature called the Jabberwock. The boy ignores the warning and goes looking for the Jabberwock. When he finds the creature, he battles it and returns home victorious. His father greets him with praises.

So this one really surprised me because of how good it actually was. I didn’t have any expectations for this one and maybe that’s why I liked it so much.

The writing style in this one was okay, but nothing too much to talk about. Because if you compare the writing stye to other poems like Edgar Allan Poe’s poems then the level of writing style wasn’t so great.

The plot here was pretty good but nothing too extraordinary. The plot in this poem had the potential to get to full score but it didn’t use it. Which is sad, because it was really close to get the full score.

I give this poem 4 / 5
