This one begins broodingly, as the narrator tells us that he is writing of his experiences for future readers long after he is dead: “strange things shall happen,” he predicts, “and secret things be known, and many centuries pass away, ere these memorials be seen of men.”
I need to say that this one was one of the best works written by Edgar Allan Poe.
Keep in mind that this one is for the most part about a dinner party with an uninvited presence.
This story isn’t that scary as you might think it is, for the most part this story have some quite creepy without being directly creepy.
The writing style is amazing as you can expect from Edgar Allan Poe, and from the gothic field which of course Edgar Allan Poe is a huge part of.
This story captures the ultimate magic in this story which makes this story amazing.
This story is a very very short story because the story happens throughout 3 pages which can be read in 5 minutes.
This one is definitely worth reading and it is a must read if you want to call yourself an Edgar Allan Poe fan.
I give this poem 4 / 5
